The Best of East Africa Tour offers an unforgettable journey through the heart of Africa’s most iconic landscapes and wildlife hotspots. Across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda, you will experience world-famous game reserves, witness the Great Migration, trek endangered mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, visit the source of the Nile, explore vibrant cultures, and stand in awe at the region’s natural wonders.

This 20-day safari adventure blends thrilling wildlife encounters with rich cultural immersion, ensuring every day is packed with once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Day 1–2: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya

• Day 1: Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Meet and greet by your guide and transfer to your Nairobi hotel. Rest and recover from your journey.

• Day 2: Nairobi city tour: visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre, and Karen Blixen Museum. Optional visit to Kazuri Beads or local craft markets.

Day 3–5: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

• Day 3: Depart Nairobi for Maasai Mara. Afternoon game drive across the savannah, known for abundant lions, elephants, and cheetahs.

• Day 4: Full-day game drive or optional hot air balloon safari over the Mara. Witness the Great Migration (July–October) or track the Big Five.

• Day 5: Morning game drive and Maasai cultural visit. Afternoon at leisure or another short game drive.

Day 6–7: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

• Day 6: Cross into Tanzania via the Isebania border and head to Serengeti National Park. Evening game drive.

• Day 7: Full-day exploration of the Serengeti’s endless plains. Look for leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and migrating herds. Overnight in a tented camp.

Day 8–9: Ngorongoro Crater & Conservation Area, Tanzania

• Day 8: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge (famous for early human fossils). Overnight on the crater rim.

• Day 9: Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari. This UNESCO site hosts lions, black rhinos, and flamingos in a stunning volcanic caldera.

Day 10–11: Lake Manyara or Tarangire National Park, Tanzania

• Day 10: Travel to Lake Manyara National Park or Tarangire National Park. Afternoon game drive focused on elephants, baobab trees, and diverse birdlife.

• Day 11: Morning game drive, then return to Arusha for an overnight stay.

Day 12–13: Flight to Entebbe, Uganda & Kibale National Park

• Day 12: Fly from Kilimanjaro/Arusha to Entebbe, Uganda. Transfer to Fort Portal and Kibale National Park.

• Day 13: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. Optional afternoon Bigodi Wetland walk or visit local tea plantations.

Day 14–15: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda

• Day 14: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Afternoon game drive or boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, famous for hippos, crocs, and birds.

• Day 15: Morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains or Ishasha sector (tree-climbing lions). Afternoon at leisure or optional nature walk.

Day 16–17: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda

• Day 16: Scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Optional village walk or Batwa cultural experience.

• Day 17: Gorilla trekking adventure. Spend one magical hour with a habituated gorilla family. Return to lodge for rest and celebration.

Day 18–19: Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda

• Day 18: Cross into Rwanda and transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Optional visit to Dian Fossey’s research site or Iby’Iwacu cultural village.

• Day 19: Golden monkey trekking or a second gorilla trek (optional). Afternoon transfer to Kigali.

Day 20: Kigali City Tour and Departure

• Morning Kigali city tour, including the Genocide Memorial and local markets.

• Transfer to Kigali International Airport for departure.
